He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
He reveals the deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with him.
~ DANIEL 2:21-22
Notice the connection between “deep” and “hidden.” What this is telling us is there are hidden dimensions to God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge. They are deep in the sense that they are out of our sight, they are unreachable. We can’t go down there.
There will always be depths of God we do not know, because God the Father is limitless – endless in space: God is impossible to measure or calculate. On the other hand, we as human creatures, are finite – we are limited, we have boundaries that we cannot go beyond because of the plane of life that we live in.
If we are seeking wisdom. If we are truly asking God to reveal to us knowledge and understand through his Word and taught by his Spirit, then we will always be seeing more of God forever. This is why, a follower of Christ never stops growing. God is limitless in power, wisdom and knowledge. If you stop seeking to know God and his wisdom and knowledge, then you are limiting yourself.
This is why the statistics are very disturbing about the state of the church in America. When you over 80% of Americans say they believe in God, but only 5-7% are studying and reading the bible daily, we have a huge disconnect. We are not going to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God and Christ under those circumstances.
