How Did They Do It?

I have been thinking off and on the last two weeks, how did they do it?

Did they not have jobs?
Did they not have children?
Did they never get tired?
Did they not have animals to take care of?
Did they not have friends?
Did they never take vacations?
Did circumstances in life always work out great?
Did they never get depressed?
Did no one ever get bored?
How did they do it?

Or

Maybe it was because they did not have Silver Dollar City?
Maybe it was because they did not have Disney Land?
Maybe it was because they did not have Halloween?
Maybe it was because they did not have Thanksgiving?
Maybe it was because they did not have Christmas?
Maybe it was because they did not have bingo, homecoming, dances, parades, or clubs?
Maybe it was because they had no basketball, football, volleyball or sports to practice and play?
Maybe it was because they had no Christian concerts, seminars, or conferences to attend?
How did they do it?

Or

Maybe it was because they understood eternal priorities. As followers of Jesus maybe they loved God first with all their hearts, minds, strength and their fellow brother as themselves. Maybe they centered their daily living around their first love and then added the rest of earthly life as they had the time? Guess we will never know, or will we?

And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,  praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” ~ Acts 2:46-47
